List of Ingredients For Mexican Beef Burgers

450g of lean mince beef
400g can of red kidney beans
One tablespoon of chilli powder
One tomato which has been roughly chopped
One green pepper which has been deseeded and finely chopped

Optional Ingredients

A handful of chopped up green beans
A handful of capers and chicory

Drain the water from the kidney beans. Set aside half of the beans and half of the chopped green peppers to make the salsa.

Mix the remaining ingredients in a large bowl until they are well combined.

Divide the mixture into 6 shapes for burgers.

Grill for about 3 minutes on each side. This is tastier if done on the barbecue. Ensure both sides are thoroughly cooked.

Whilst cooking make the salsa by mixing the remaining kidney beans and chopped peppers and the optional ingredients if required.

Serve on your favourite bread or roll along with the salsa.
