Superstitious people consider Friday The Thirteenth to be a day of bad luck. There is no rational reason for this superstition, though it is thought that the combination of Friday and the 13th together bring double ill luck.

The medical and scientific name for people who have a deep, irrational and morbid fear of Friday the Thirteenth is Paraskavedekatriaphobia or Friggatriskaidekaphobia. The fear of the number 13 is called Triskaidekaphobia.
