Dr Edward Pritchard was the last man to be publicly hanged in Glasgow.

He was a Glasgow medical practitioner.

Prince Of Poisoners

He was nicknamed the Prince Of Poisoners and amongst his victims were his wife and mother in law.

He was hung on Glasgow Green in 1865 in front of a crowd of 100,000 people by hangman William Calcraft.
