Ingredients For Fruit Bars
100g of dried cranberries and cherries
250g of ready to eat apricots that have been sliced
75g of pumpkin seeds
75g of sunflower seeds
397g can of Carnation condensed milk
250g of porridge oats
50g of dark brown soft sugar
150g of butter
1 tablespoon of golden syrup

Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius or gas mark 4.

Line an 18 x 23 cm baking tin with greased proof paper.
Melt the butter and sugar in a large pan. Add the syrup and the condensed milk.
Remove from the heat and stir in the fruit, but only half the amount of pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
Press the mixture into the baking tray. On top lightly press the remaining seeds.
Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
Remove and allow to cool.
Cut into bars. This recipe should make 12 generous bars.
