The Drummer Boy

The Drummer Boy is my latest novel about the ghost of a Gordon Highlander Drummer Boy from the Battle of Waterloo who haunts a modern day army nurse.

It is packed with trivia about the Napoleonic War, His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen, the history of Tidworth Military Hospital and about modern day nursing and emergency first aid as well as the battlefield medical care during the Battle of Waterloo.

Stir the mixture until it is smooth. Set aside for about an hour to cool and set.

Take a piece of the mixture and form into the shape of an egg. Repeat until there is no chocolate mixture remaining.

Sprinkle the cocoa powder on a large piece of greaseproof paper. Roll the egg shaped chocolates in the cocoa powder until they are fully coated.

The Easter chocolate truffles are now ready.

Make Easter chocolate gifts:

The chocolate truffles make great gifts. They are easily made presentable by wrapping several chocolate eggs in a square of cellophane or decorated paper. Tie them securely with ribbon to make a cheap but beautiful present.
