How To Make A Chocolate Log
Recipe For A Yule Log Made with Chocolate with step by step baking direction for a Christmas chocloate log:
This yule log is traditionally eaten at Christmas.

Ingredients For A Chocolate Log
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
3 eggs
75g of plain flour
75g of light brown sugar
2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
450 g of icing sugar
225g of butter
2 tablespoons of milk
Baking Directions For A Chocolate Log
Grease and line a large baking tray or tin roll with grease proof paper.
Pre heat the oven to gas mark 5 or 190C.
Whisk the eggs and the brown sugar until they form ridges, rather than a light and creamy mixture.
Sift the flour and the cinnamon and combine. Fold them into the egg and sugar mixture and spread onto
the tin.
Bake for 20 minutes so that the cake mixture rises and is firm.
Remove from the oven and turn the cake onto a clean sheet of grease proof paper. Place another sheet on top
and then roll the cake up into a roll. Set aside to cool.
Cream the butter, cocoa powder and the icing sugar all together.
Test Products for rewards.
Mix in the milk.
Unroll the cake which should now be cold.
Spread a thin layer of the butter, cocoa powder and icing sugar mixture onto the cake and then re-roll it.
Spread the remaining butter mixture onto the log. smooth down all over, including the sides.
Use a fork to give the chocolate cake a log appear.
Decorate with a holly type plastic ornament.
