100g of dark chocolate
Three tablespoons of dark cocoa powder
2220g of plain flour
Half a teaspoon of baking powder
Half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
One large egg
100g of caster sugar
100g of light muscovado sugar
100g of walnut or pecan pieces

How To Make Chocolate Chip Cookie
Pre heat an oven to gas mark 4, 350F or 180C.
Break up the chocolate bar and place the pieces into a mixing bowl along with the nuts if they are used. Set aside for later.
Place the soft butter into another mixing bowl or into a food mixer. Add both the sugars and beat or whisk until this mixture becomes soft and fluffy.
Using a soft spatula gather the mixture to the bottom of the mixing bowl and slowly beat in the egg so that it mixes well.
Sift in the cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder then mix thoroughly add in the chocolate and nut pieces to the chocolate chip cookie mixture.
