Ingredients For Crumble Topping


50g of granulated sugar
150g of plain flour
75g of butter


How To Make Banana Crumble


Preheat the oven to gas mark 5, 190C. Lightly butter a one litre oven proof dish.

In a large frying pan put in the juices and most of the zest along with the caster sugar and cinnamon. Stir well.

Add the roughly chopped bananas slices and gently bring to the heat. Do not allow to boil but poach the banana crumble mixture for about five minutes.

Add the rum and stir thoroughly.

Empty the mixture into the oven proof dish and smooth the banana crumble mixture.


How To Make Crumble Topping

Rub the butter well into the flour. Stir in the caster sugar. Now sprinkle this crumble topping over the banana mixture so that it is all covered.


Bake the banana crumble in the pre heated oven for about twenty minutes. The banana crumble recipe is complete when the topping turns lightly brown.

The remaining orange zest should be sprinkled over the banana crumble and then served with a favourite topping.
