Are You An Egghead are looking for 32 fantastic new contestants to battle it out in order to join their resident quiz show Goliaths and become a full time Egghead! Are you An Egghead? on BBC2 is a spin off show from the hit BBC series ‘Eggheads’ (which has been running for nine years and is currently in its 13th series). Are You An Egghead? is hosted by Dermot Murnaghan and is a nationwide search to find a contestant who is good enough to join the Eggheads as a permanent member of their team. The Eggheads are 6 of the UK’s greatest Quiz Show Champions: Judith Keppel: First person to ever win a million pounds on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ in 2000. Won £64,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Brain of Britain Semi Finalist 2000. In every Egghead Quiz show there are 5 individual question rounds, in which each player (2 players per show) is asked up to three multiple choice questions each on subjects such as Sport, Entertainment, Food and Drink, Arts and Books, Politics, History, Geography or Science. The winner of each round gets to choose an Egghead to assist them in the final General Knowledge Round. The more category rounds a player wins the more Eggheads they have to call upon for assistance in the final round. The winner of each show will move into the next heat. With the series concluding in a grand final and the winner of this will become an Egghead! The makers of Are You An Egghead are looking for fun and enthusiastic individuals who think they have what it takes to become an Egghead.
